Danelectro 59m NOS BBLU

Danelectro ’59M NOS Baby Blue

Danelectro ’59M NOS Baby Blue

Danelectro ’59M NOS Baby Blue – Retaining the character of their classic guitars, the Danelectro ’59M NOS+ electric guitar offers a wonderful sonic alternative to your other guitars. It boasts everything players love about the Danelectro ’59, including the distinctive shorthorn shape, a fully adjustable wraparound bridge, and stacked tone/volume controls. And with a pair of NOS+ lipstick pickups, you’ve got the character of the original NOS pickups but with brighter highs, punchier mids, and more powerful lows. If you’re looking for an electric guitar with a distinctive single-coil voice that pairs beautifully with overdrive, check out the Danelectro ’59M NOS+ guitar.

NOS+ lipstick pickups for definitive Danelectro tone

Based on the sonic character of their original NOS single-coil pickups, the NOS+ pickups in this ’59M NOS+ guitar have been optimized for hotter output and livelier tone overall — punchier lows and mids, and highs with more clarity and bite. They sound particularly amazing for bluesy slide work and pair beautifully with an overdriven tube amplifier.

Construction updates for modern reliability

Like a great many vintage guitar designs, older Danos can sometimes fall victim to reliability issues. But you’ll be able to gig your ’59M NOS+ electric guitar without worry, thanks to modern updates that bring the guitar up to today’s high-quality standards. You’ll get great intonation up and down the neck with the intonation-adjustable wraparound bridge. And while it’s unfortunately missing in the older instruments, you get an adjustable truss rod to make sure your Dano ’59M NOS+’s neck stays straight and plays true.

Features:

  • Semi-hollowbody electric guitar with vintage character and modern reliability
  • A look that’s true to vintage Danelectro classics
  • NOS+ lipstick pickups deliver classic NOS tone with heavier lows, punchier mids, and brighter highs
  • Dual-action truss rod is ready to keep the neck straight for a lifetime
  • Intonation-adjustable wraparound tailpiece
  • Clear tone from an aluminum string nut
  • Stacked tone and volume knobs

Danelectro Baritone Electric Guitar

Danelectro Baritone Electric Guitar Bottle Headstock

Danelectro Baritone Electric Guitar Bottle Headstock

Danelectro Baritone Electric Guitar Bottle Headstock – The Baritone is tuned a fourth lower than a standard guitar. The open strings are B-E-A-D-F#-B. The Baritone lets you play “tic-tac” bass or chords. This lower tuning can also be used to play many songs from bands that use lower tunings. However, there’s no general consensus on how a baritone should be tuned.

On the low end, the tuning can be A-D-G-C-E-A five notes below the guitar. Most aficionados of the baritone tune it to B E A D F# B. Other tunings exist too, notably C#-F#-B-E-G#-C# (a tone and a half below standard), which can also be achieved on a standard-scale guitar with heavier gauge strings. This tuning condemns the baritone player to play in 3 more flats, or 3 less sharps than the other guitars in the ensemble, something which sends shivers down the spine of most novice and intermediate players.

The low notes resonate in your chest and you’ll groove on playing open chords and single note lines near the metal nut. When you plug this instrument into an amp you really see what a tone-chameleon it is. Just by altering the picking position you can get a wide variety of tone. You can go from clacky bass at the bridge or add some warmth by moving towards the front pickup. This is true with all guitars of course, but with the baritone it’s even more pronounced. When you add in the pickup and tone control variations you really get a great tonal palette.
