These full-range, high SPL mics are built with the same Varimotion dual-thickness membrane technology that AKG supplies to their iconic D5 and D7 mics. The result is an extremely accurate frequency response that captures high, low, and mid drum tones with aplomb, translating into the mix beautifully and essentially eliminating the need for additional live equalizing.
