The Fender Bassman Compressor’s no-nonsense control scheme comprises all your usual compression suspects — Ratio, Release, Level, and so on — yet one of our favorite features here is its Blend control. This knob injects your dry signal back into the mix right alongside the wet compressed signal. As a result, Blend allows you to aid your compressed signal with a touch of extra dynamic range to balance against the squashed sound of your wet tone.
