The man behind the bass

From punk to hardcore to rock, Nate Mendel has been an active musician for over 20 years. In 1995, he joined Foo Fighters as their bass player. Nate has stayed true to his battle-hardened 1971 Fender Precision Bass guitar over the years, and Fender now honors him with the Artist Signature Series Nate Mendel Precision Bass.

The Fender Nate Mendel P Bass is an ash-bodied bass that sports a lightly aged candy apple red nitrocellulose finish, with a black pickguard, extra-slim maple neck, rosewood fingerboard with 20 medium-jumbo frets, a Fender HiMass bridge with chrome-plated zinc saddles, Seymour Duncan Basslines pickup, chrome hardware, special body contours, and an extra neck plate featuring a hybrid Foo Fighters/Fender logo. A deluxe gig bag is also included.
